The past two days have been an interesting lockdown experience. Ghanaian producers have taken the opportunity to go head to head with their club bangers. However, this has opened the way for a lot more people to known the faces behind the hits and the journey.
Hammer of ‘The Last Two’ has been trending because of the huge impact he’s had on the Ghanaian Music Landscape.
Ghanaian radio and television presenter Jay Foley took to Twitter to tell us how he met Hammer and how the entire experience changed his life to even his name!
“I walked into the studios of HUSH HUSH studios in 2001. I met HAMMER OF THE LAST TWO and he asked my name. I said “Johnny b” then he said I will change your name. I will call you
JAY FOLEY….. now you know” he said in a Twitter
He also added “I will be up by 6am. Shower, eat, dress up and drive straight to East Legon to pick up @Dahammergh so we go to the studio by 10am. This was 2001. You can imagine a young boy like me, 20years at the time – rolling with a legend like Hammer of the last 2“
