Fake News: Government Denies Claims That Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey And Others Have Coronavirus

A piece of fake information is circulating on WhatsApp.

It claims that Osafo Maafo, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway and some key government appointees have caught the virus.

The information is claiming that communications from the Flagstaff House suggest these are true.

However, the Director of Communications at the Flagstaff House has come out to deny all the allegations the WhatsApp message claims.

“Kindly ignore this propaganda making the rounds, which says the persons in this supposed list have tested positive for the Coronavirus,” Eugene Arhin said in a Facebook post.

“It’s absolutely false, and none of these persons are in isolation as is being claimed,” he said.

In these times, be mindful of what you share or retweet.
