About 14 Ghanaian Frontline Healthcare Professionals Put In Self Isolation

It has been revealed that about 14 healthcare professionals have been put in isolation.

This is because the doctors and nurses came into contact with people who have tested positive for coronavirus.

Speaking at the press conference held today, the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said because certain patients were not truthful about their travel history when they report to health centres, they then put frontline health experts at risk.

He said because certain patients fail to make full disclosure they end up exposing doctors and nurses to the virus.

These exposed healthcare professionals have been placed in self-isolation.

According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the isolation of these healthcare professionals is also having a negative impact on the staff strength of the healthcare providers.
