Twitter Reacts To Court Ruling On NIA’s Registration Exercise

A lot Ghanaians on Twitter are not happy about the court ruling that gave the National Identification Authority (NIA) the greenlight to continue with the Ghana Card Registration despite President Akufo-Addo’s directive on social distancing and the ban on public gatherings as measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.

An Accra High Court on Friday [March, 27, 2020] dismissed an injunction application seeking to stop the NIA from going ahead with registration in the Eastern Region.

According to the court, the NIA’s decision to go ahead with the registration is not against the President’s directive of suspending all public gatherings.

This ruling by the court didn’t go well with a lot of Ghanaians who took to Twitter to express their displeasure.
