The founder of iYES and the Brian Jones Ministries, Pastor Brian Amoateng has been in the news lately about his comments on why the church is not responsible for purchasing hand sanitizers for its members.
In a viral video, Pastor Brian said the money church members give belongs to God and they give out the money while expecting to be blessed in return.
This statement did not go down well with a lot of Ghanaians on social media who started dragging the man of God for his comments.
He later came out to apologise and even claimed that he had personally given out about 100 sanitizers to people.
However, that apology did little to stop the social media attacks.
Now Gospel singer and pastor of The Rock Hill Church, Sonnie Badu has come out to throw his support behind Pastor Amoateng.
In an Instagram post, Sonnie Badu said though Pastor Amoateng’s “statement came out insensitive, however, he saw his error and apologized severally.”
“Ghana, let us not forget that for 5 years he has empowered the youth out of his own pocket I repeat out of his own pocket and I am a witness to this (we are talking thousands of dollars),” Sonnie Badu said.
“iYes by Gods Grace is going to be amazing this year … love you yaw .. it’s part of being at the front line .. welcome to my world .. be tough,” he added as a word of encouragement to Pastor Brain Amoateng.
