Renowned Ghanaian journalist and gender activist, Oheneyere Gifty Anti has tested for COVID-19.
She was part of the group who were put under mandatory quarantine after arriving in the country from abroad. Gifty Anti arrived in the country on Sunday from the UK.
However, her composure and calmness during the mandatory quarantine period and using her social media accounts to educate and inform Ghanaians about the situation that the country is facing was admired by many.
Like she has been doing for the past three days, she took to her social media pages to announce that she has tested negative for the virus.
“But let tell you this, between ‘hello I am Dr…’ to the end of the 5 minutes conversation, I lost 5 kilos!! Sharp. Chai!!” she narrated her reaction to the news of her testing negative.
“Don’t joke with this uncle coronavirus!! We must fight it together!! We must defeat it big time and fast too!” she wrote.
Oheneyere Gifty Anti went on to advise Ghanaians to stay safe, practice the protocols and avoid spreading fear and panic. She also asked Ghanaians to say a prayer for those who have tested positive and those waiting for their results.
“God is healing our Land!!! Believe it,” she added.
