Ghana’s MLS Trio Make Donation To Help The Fight Against Coronavirus

​Ghanaian footballers; Jonathan Mensah, Harrison Afful and David Accam have donated an undisclosed amount of funds and some prevention materials to Ghana to help fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The three footballers play their trade in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States of America. Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful play for Columbus Crew SC and David Accam plays for Nashville SC.

They have collaborated with Ghanaian NGO, One Ghana, who have acquired precautionary materials like gloves, nose and mouth guards, sanitizers and industrial soaps to distribute to some communities in the country.

Ghana has also been receiving support and donations from some organisations and individuals. Notable of them are the donations by Jack Ma and support from the Pentecost Church of Ghana.

On Wednesday [March 25, 2020], Ghana received its share of medical supplies from the Jack Ma Foundation.

The Church of Pentecost also donated logistics worth about GHC50,000 to the Health Ministry to help fight the fast-rising coronavirus crisis in the country.

Ghana has so far recorded 132 coronavirus cases and 3 deaths.
