CORONAVIRUS: 776 Non-Travellers Are In Quarantine In Ghana

Besides the 1,030 international travellers the government placed in mandatory quarantine, another 776 people are also in self-quarantine.

These 776 people currently in quarantine are people who are suspected to have come in contact with people who have been infected by the virus.

Initially, 970 of such people were identified through contact tracing.

However, a statement from the Ghana Health Service indicated that 204 of them have “completed the 14 days mandatory follow up.”

Leaving the 970 people who are in various stages of the quarantine process.

This comes after Ghana’s confirmed coronavirus cases jumped to 132. This spike is due to the testing of the 1,030 international travellers placed in mandatory quarantine.
