Ghana has recorded 25 additional coronavirus cases.

This brings Ghana’s total coronavirus cases to 52.

All the 25 additional patients were international travellers who have been placed in mandatory quarantine by the government.

Currently, 1,030 people are in mandatory quarantine. Out of this number, respiratory samples have been collected from 611 people for testing.

Out of the 611 samples collected, 185 of them have been tested and 25 were confirmed positive.

This is what almost doubled Ghana’s coronavirus cases.

According to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, it takes about 25 to 30 minutes to extract the sample from people for testing and all 1030 people in mandatory quarantine will soon be tested.
