Coronavirus: Students Of Obuasi Secondary Technical Develop Touch-Free Veronica Bucket

Students of Obuasi Secondary Technical School have joined the fight against coronavirus.

They did so by improving on the Veronica Buckets developed by Veronica Bekoe years ago.

The Robotics team of the school, led by their teacher Solomon Nchor, developed the touch-free electronic veronica bucket.

The bucket starts dispensing running water without the person washing their hands touching to the tap to turn it on.

It makes use of sensors.

This innovation is essential in the fight against the spread of coronavirus because it avoids a point of contact.

Nobody will be touching the tap to leave or pick up any virus.

Below is a demonstration video shared by the school.

This something that must be scaled up!
