President Akufo Addo has announced the closure of all Ghana’s borders effective midnight of Sunday 22nd March 2020.
The President made this announcement this evening while addressing the nation.
According to the President, the decision is to help reduce the further spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.
In the address, he said all the borders of Ghana – land, sea and air – will be closed down effective midnight on Sunday.
Goods will not be affected as Ghanaians need these goods for survival.
This address will be the third since coronavirus was declared a pandemic.
Ghanaians are, however, advised to adhere to all preventive measures and reminded to contact 050 949 7700 & 055 843 9868 incase of any signs of Covid-19 or if one has come into contact with a patient.
