You’re Working From Home Because Of Coronavirus. Use These Tips To Get The Job Done

We’re staying at home! Woop! Woop! We’re working while we’re home! Woop! Wo– Wait. We’re working while we’re home. Okay, that could actually end up being hard. Thankfully, here are some tips to make sure that you’re on top of the job. Get the job done so that you can spend the rest of your time doing more fun stuff.

Download Evernote On Your Computer

If you’re working from home it means that you’re working on your computer. You’re working on your computer constantly. Download Evernote. Then, when you put on your computer, the first thing you want to do is make a ToDo List. List down all the tasks that you need to get done for the day. It is okay to break down tasks into smaller components. Minimize Evernote, and then check open to check off tasks as you complete them. This helps you keep track of your progress. Do this so that you don’t suddenly feel like you have so much work to do. It also feels really good to check things off a ToDo list. Obviously, any similar apps will work. Just try to get it in a tab while you work.

Get Snacks

Get some snacks at your work station. In the workplace, you are constantly stimulated because you have coworkers around. You take little breaks to weigh in on a conversation. Or to laugh at a meme that’s being shown around. When you’re home, however, things are different. Get some snacks so that you can have little distractions as you work. If you rely on your phone for distraction, you are going to go down rabbit holes that can last hours at a time. You won’t do your work.

Communicate With Your Coworkers

Check-in with your coworkers and see how work is going on their end. You know that feeling when you had exams, but it didn’t feel like it. It didn’t feel like it because no one was studying. Similarly, when people were studying, you also felt a pressure to. The same principle, basically. You won’t want to stand out in a bad way. Track everyone else’s progress too. Tap into their energy to do your work.

You’re Home Go Nuts

Even though you’re working from home, you’re not quite at work. Take advantage of that. This means that you can work out, you can watch some TV and you can take meaningful walks to the fridge. Just make sure that your time is scheduled to allow you to get your work done. Schedule breaks and make sure that you get yourself back behind the computer when it’s time.

Hopefully, this gets you into the right headspace for some remote working awesomeness. Let’s get it.
