When the weather is hot like it normally is here in Ghana, it’s normal to get sweaty feet. The problem is when the moisture builds up in your shoes and starts causing it to smell.

Some people like to cover up the smell by using a deodorant spray but that will just last for a few hours. What you have to do is to get rid of the moisture because the odour-causing bacteria is in it.

Here are 4 foolproof ways to get rid of the odour in your shoes.

  1. Using baking soda

Sprinkle some baking soda in the shoe and let it sit overnight. Pour out the powder in the morning.

If this method is too messy for you, you can pour some of the baking soda into a sock and place it in the smelly shoe overnight.

Keep doing it until the smell is totally gone.
