Minister Of Information Debunks News Of Using Celebrities For Public Education On Coronavirus

The Minister Of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a Press briefing today, 18th March 2020 has debunked claims about using celebrities as a medium for public education on hygiene amid Covid-19 scare.

Health authorities, Ghana Immigration Service and some government officials addressed a press conference at the Ministry of Information in Accra to update the nation on the coronavirus pandemic.

During a Q/A session with the Media, the Minister stressed that the Government will use people with a large following, not necessarily celebrities to help disseminate information about hygiene to the public.

However, no mode of payment was disclosed. The Public is therefore reminded to stay calm and adhere to all preventive measures.
