Businesses are now stepping up to augment the government’s efforts in fighting the coronavirus infection that is now a global pandemic.
Beyond obeying social gathering rules, some companies are going further to contribute to the efforts of health workers.
Yesterday, the Enterprise Group, an insurance service provider, announced that it is donating GHS 20 million in insurance cover to frontline workers of the Ghana Health Service.
These frontline workers are making huge sacrifices and putting themselves on the line to help their patients suffering from Coronavirus infection to recover.
In addition to the GHS 20 million insurances cover, Enterprise Group also donated GHS 100,000 in cash to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge) and the Noguchi Memorial Research Institute.
Ridge is reportedly providing care for some of the seven coronavirus patients, while Noguchi is one of the institutions that have been testing samples to confirm whether or not a patient has contracted coronavirus.
