After the travel ban imposed by President Akufo-Addo kicked in yesterday at 1 pm local time, at least 27 foreign nationals have been prevented entry into the country.

It was reported yesterday that 2 Italians have been denied entry.

Today, during a press briefing at the Ministry of Information in Accra, it was further revealed that 25 more foreign nationals were denied entry.

25 Chinese and 1 German were denied entry at the Kotoka International Airport.

The travel ban also affected passengers flying into the country.

British Airways passengers flying into the country have reduced from 350 to about 140 passengers. The same has affected KLM, Kenya Airways, Emirates and other international airlines flying into the country.

There is no indication that Kotoka International Airport will be completely shut down.
