The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has joined the list of Ghanaian institutions that are putting measures in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This action by the hospital follows directives issued by President Akufo-Addo for social distancing to be observed to forestall the potential spread of COVID-19.
According to a statement signed by the CEO of the hospital, Dr Daniel Asare, the measures are being implemented with immediate effect to minimize overcrowding at the Outpatient Departments for the safety of patients and staff.
Some of the measures taken by the hospital include suspension of all Elective Surgical cases, however, only emergency surgical cases will now be taken care of.
