Coronavirus: Ghana’s Embassy In USA Suspends Consular Services

Ghana’s Embassy in the United States of America has announced that it has suspended the issuance and application of visas and passports due to the increase and rapid spread of coronavirus both in the USA and globally.

According to a statement signed by the Head of Information and Public Affairs, Kofi Tonto, “the Consular Department will suspend both mailed and in-person services for the issuance of Ghanaian visas and passports effective March 17, 2020.”

The Embassy also added that “in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration is also suspending all official travels and public engagements.”
