In the wake of the novel coronavirus, management of one of Ghana’s busiest public hangouts in Accra, Bloombar has shut down the premises.
Hello everyone. Due to the virus, we’ve decided to close our doors temporarily so everyone including our hardworking staff can stay healthy and safe at home. We look forward to coming back with a greater experience, the management team said in a Twitter post.
This announcement comes after four additional confirmed cases were announced, President Akufo-Addo issued directives that would serve as measures to prevent community spread of the virus.
Speaking about public hangouts the President stated: “Shopping malls, markets, night clubs among other suchlike establishments are to observe enhanced hygiene procedures by providing, for instance, hand sanitizers and soap with running water”.
We are all encouraged to adhere to all precautious measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
