Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi has announced that he has recovered from COVID-19 after it was reported this morning that he has tested positive for the virus.
Hudson-Odoi displayed cold symptoms on Monday morning and has stayed away from the club since then. His test result was returned on Thursday night, the Guardian reported.
His club, Chelsea this morning released a statement confirming that the winger has tested positive for the virus.
The club also stated that despite testing positive, the 19-year-old was “doing well and looking forward to returning to the training ground as soon as it is possible.”
Hudson-Odoi in a video he posted on Twitter assured his followers and fans he has recovered from and is feeling better now.
“Hi, guys! as you may be aware I had the virus for the last couple of days which I’ve recovered from,” Callum said.
“I’m following the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody for the week. I hope to see everybody soon and hopefully be back on the pitch very soon. Take care,” he added.
