It’s the 5th edition of the Conference on Disability and Development!! We are pleased to say that, in previous years, it has provided a platform for vigorous and intellectually stimulating discourse from advocates, policymakers, and academics from various disciplines, including law.
We thereby invite all and sundry to the aforementioned Lancaster University Conference on Disability and Development. Seeking to extend and develop understanding, the discussion would comprise a rigorous examination and incisive discussion on mental health which appears to be an often-under-appreciated field in State and societal engagement with health.
Here are the events lined up for this year’s Disability Conference:
- We’re pumping you up for the day!!!! There will be a 5km walk for a good cause. No, not just the exercise bit ;). Funds raised would be used for the renovation of a block at the Madina Cluster of Schools. Come move with us on Saturday the 14th of March 2020 from 6:30 am-12noon.
PS: Come dressed in blue to show solidarity for the cause.
Come let’s be educated by the LUG Drama Club as they bring to light certain common misconceptions about depression. It’s going to be a great night of intense stagecraft. You don’t want to miss this!
- Finally, the day of the conference themed: Mental Health and Development: Societal Structures, Institutions and State Policies!!!!! It’s happening March 19, 2020 – March 20, 2020, at the British Council. It is going to be an insightful program you can’t miss this!
