Amidst the talk of coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is affecting countries, and businesses, other people have also taken advantage of the situation to spread fake news through the various social media platforms.
Today, another fake news that is being circulated via WhatsApp, is that Ghanaian international and Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey has tested positive for coronavirus.
However, contrary to what is being reported, neither Daniel Amartey nor Leicester City have confirmed that the defender has tested positive for the virus.
The club today confirmed that three of its players are in self-isolation after showing symptoms of the virus, but the names of the players were not mentioned. The club has also not issued any statement confirming that any player has tested positive for the virus.
