The VW assembly site in Ghana has already taken shape and is assembling vehicles.
Today the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen paid a working visit to the assembly site of Volkswagen (VW), Ghana in Accra ahead of the launching of its first assembled vehicles in Ghana.
The Minister and his team were impressed at the pace at which VW is moving and has re-echoed the commitment made by the President.
“I assure Volkswagen and its local assembler in Ghana of the full support of the government in creating an enabling environment and incentive framework to make their investment a major success,” he said.
This comes months after the government signed an MOU with VW to assemble some of its vehicles in the country.
