The University of Ghana offers a career test at its Careers and Counseling Center. It’s hardly a place to go to, unless you have business there. Here’s what you might not know about the test. It costs GHC20, and it takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes to complete. The results of the test are available 2 to 3 days after taking it.
The test is comfortable to take. You also learn things about yourself while you take it. From my experience, the results are pretty accurate as well. The test is perfect for you if you have any reservations about a career that you’ve decided. It is also great if you are not sure what career path would best suit you. It is a personality test that aligns its results with job market opportunities.
A problem only arises when you are interested in learning about different career paths. Access to information at the careers and counseling center is limited. If you wanted to know what your real world options are; such as what post-graduate courses to take, their cut-offs or where you should possibly be aiming to work, you would not have access to that information.
