Google Celebrates Ghana’s Independence Day With A Doodle

Google Doodle

Today, Ghana is celebrating 63 years since it gained Independence from the British.

It was on this day in 1957 when Dr Kwame Nkrumah delivered one of the most iconic speeches ever delivered by a world leader.

Sixty-three years on, we’re still going at it. With a lot to be grateful for though it hasn’t been an easy ride.

Today, Google, one of the world’s biggest companies is celebrating Ghana and its people.

To mark the 63rd Independence Day celebration, Google edited its doodle to include the Ghana flag.

A click on the image leads you to a Google search of “Ghana Independence Day” with about 32,600,000 results.

Happy Independence Day and weekend to all Ghanaians, at home and abroad.
