As the coronavirus keeps spreading, the Ghanaian government is also being vigilant.
According to the Minister of Health Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, a total of 40 suspected cases of coronavirus also known as COVID-19 have been tested in Ghana.
The Minister told parliament on Wednesday that all the forty suspected cased tested negative, making Ghana a coronavirus free country.
“As yet, we’ve not found any Ghanaian that has contracted this disease either in the country or even outside the country,” Mr Agyeman-Manu said, and assured that the government and its development partners were working hard to prevent Ghana from recording a coronavirus case.
The coronavirus, which broke out in China’s central city of Wuhan in the later parts of December and became a matter of worldwide concern January, has killed more than 3,000 people globally, according to the BBC.
