Black Stars head coach, C.K Akonnor has named his first squad ahead of an AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sudan later in March.
Akonnor, however, surprised a lot of Ghanaians by including a lot of Ghana Premier League players who have been putting up great performances in his 23-man list.
Aduana Stars striker; Yahaya Mohammed, Accra Hearts of Oak goalie; Richard Attah, Asante Kotoko defender; Habib Mohammed and Ashanti Gold defender; Kwadwo Amoako, were the Ghana Premier League players that made it to Akonnor’s list.
Black Stars regulars like Partey and the Ayew brothers also made it to the list.
