African Countries That Have Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is spreading fast outside China — the country which it emerged from. Coronavirus emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan late last year and has since resulted in daily deaths and infections across the world.

More than 3,000 people have died globally from the virus, while more than 90,000 infections have been confirmed in dozens of countries, according to the World Health Organization.

Countries like Italy, France, Germany, Iran and Japan have recorded a high number of cases.

The virus, however, is gradually increasing in Africa. A number of cases have been recorded in North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa so far.

We have put together a list of African countries that have confirmed coronavirus cases. Eleven African countries have confirmed positive cases so far.
