#Coronavirus: Ghanaian Student In China Goes On Twitter And Rants About Evacuation

Kofi Boakye

Ever since the world got to know about the spread of a virus from China, Ghanaians have been worried about friends and family who live in that country.

According to reports, there are about 200 Ghanaian students living in Wuhan in the Hubei Province of China. Wuhan is known as the epicentre of the virus that is spreading globally.

Most Chinese cities are in lockdown – including Wuhan where the Ghanaian students are.

Since the outbreak of the virus, the Ghanaian students have been calling on the government to evacuate them.

This week, South African students were evacuated by their government. Other countries have also evacuated their citizens.

However, Ghanaian authorities have still not heeded the calls of students to be evacuated.

Fed up with the government’s inaction about the evacuation of the Ghanaian students, Kofi Boakye took to Twitter to call for help.
