The first round of matches for the debut of the Engineering Premier League kicked off last Saturday. It was a moment of skills and strength for some of the players and various programs.
Agric. Engineering claimed their first win after the game ended with a 1 nil victory over Computer Engineering. All credits to Philip (sheen) for the early opener.
Later in the day, the Mechanical engineers were hosted by the Renewable Energy Engineers. After an exciting and thrilling game, the mechanical engineers came out victorious with just a goal margin. Both teams were handed red cards which made the game more exciting.
Civil Engineering held Environmental Engineering to a stalemate after a full action. Pele scored the only goal (penalty) for the winning team that’s petroleum engineering. This also ended the last game for the first round of matches.
Mechanical Engineering continued their winning run after the famous Kante surprised their opponents (Agric Engineering) with a sublime finish to kill off the game in the second half.
Environmental Engineering failed to secure another 3 points though tipped the favourites against the computer nerds. The game ended a goalless draw.
Elsewhere, Renewable Energy Engineering failed to show up for their next fixture which made the match a forfeited. This gave the Petroleum Engineers another 3 points to go clear on top of the Engineering League table.
Electrical Engineering was on the verge of claiming their first victory ever until Mario TooSweet of civil engineering equalized seconds before the final whistle in front of the angry electrical fans to end the game as the final fixture for the game week.
