Black Stars head coach C.K Akonnor met Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany at the Anderlecht training grounds

Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor was at the Anderlecht training grounds in Belgium to observe their practice routines, Ghanasoccernet reports.

C.K Akonnor has been in the European country for some few days now, where he took the opportunity to visit Ghanaian based players in the Jupiler Pro League — the Belgian First Division A.

Akonnor is trying to convince Anderlecht youngsters Francis Amuzu and Jeremy Doku to play for the West African nation.

The 45-year old watched the two in Anderlecht’s 1-1 draw against KAA Gent last weekend. The game also had French-born Ghanaian Elisha Owusu. He earlier visited the likes of Jordan, Dede, Schlupp and Christian Atsu in England. He earlier, in February, visited the likes of Jordan, Dede, Schlupp and Christian Atsu in England.

Akonnor also met former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, who is a player-manager at Anderlecht to share some ideas.

C.K Akonnor was appointed head coach of the senior national team in January after Kwesi Appiah’s contract elapsed.
