5. Influences insomnia
Green tea contains only small amounts of caffeine, but may still cause problems sleeping for people sensitive to caffeine. The caffeine present in green tea is a nervous system stimulant. Consuming more than 300 mg of caffeine per day may reduce sleep quality and cause insomnia, irritability, depression, anger, and anxiety. When you have a large amount of green tea in your body system, getting good sleep will be almost impossible.
