If you simply cannot get enough of soap operas, then you’ll be delighted to know that US juggernaut Days Of Our Lives will be launching in the UK early next year. The award-winning daytime soap has been a mainstay of US television for over 50 years and has featured some incredibly compelling narratives — many of which revolved around affairs of passion and secrets and lies.
The daytime drama arrives exclusively on Sony Channel next month and will pick up from the 53rd season, which is seemingly the perfect place for viewers to dive right in, given that this particular episode sees the beginning of a new storyline — featuring the villainous Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser), who returns to Salem after new character Stefan O. DiMera (Tyler Christopher) shows up claiming to be her son. What’s more, with the instalment being set on New Year’s Eve, three-midnight kisses take place — which ultimately leads to two romances and one seriously complicated love triangle.
This isn’t the first time that Days Of Our Lives has been screened in the UK, as it’s been aired on a multitude of different channels over the years, from CBS Drama to the now-defunct Zone Romantica — and even Channel 5 — but its return will no doubt bring a smile to the faces of those who avidly watched it before. Soap operas have been a mainstay of British television for several decades, so Days Of Our Lives will no doubt be right at home over here!
Days Of Our Lives launches on Monday 20th January 2020 on Sony Channel with episodes being broadcast daily at 9:10 am.
