Over the weekend, PHD Ghana held a 2-day training session on marketing which sought to move practitioners closer to the reality of how science and technology are revolving their industry.
The first part of the event was held at the London College of International Business Studies (LCIBS), Octagon, in Accra, which saw a number of speakers train participants on media marketing, artificial intelligence, among others.
The day one class began with Matt-Angus Hammond, a data analyst from Geopol who spoke on Data Science.
Other speakers which included Maame Owusu Arhin (Media Monitoring), Udai Kanth (Artificial Intelligence), Dede Odamtten (Career Advancement), Maximus Ametorgoh (Digital Disruption) and Bright Ladzekpo, CEO PHD Ghana took the class on Challenger Branding and Marketing Science.
Bright took the class through in-depth analysis of Market Analysis siting practical examples from well-known brands.
He also explained certain disruptive measures most brands are taking to make work easier.
The second part of the masterclass was held in Akosombo, where participants visited the Dodi Island on a ferry boat.
Participants cruised aboard the Dodi Princess on the lake Volta ensuring a balance of business and leisure.
Participants had the chance to ask questions, interact and network with speakers and among themselves.
Some participants who were present at the event expressed their joy on how educative the training was and how they’re looking forward to the next masterclass in December.
The Masterclass Accra – Science Meets Marketing is a monthly two-day intensive but interactive programme designed to provide an eye-opening experience for marketing, media and communications practitioners in West Africa.
