We just reported that the infamous Cape Coast stadium pitch invader, Awal Sulamen has been handed a GHS 2,400 fine.
The court reportedly found him guilty after Awal himself pleaded guilty to two counts of offensive disturbance and resisting arrest.
In court on Thursday, Awal Suleman pleaded guilty and was sentenced on his own plea.
The Circuit Court said it took his guilty plea and apologies from some Black Star players into consideration before delivering its verdict, adomonline reported.
It turns out that there is more to the judgement.
If Awal fails to pay the GHS 2,400 fine, it will land him in prison for three months, 3news also reports.
The Black Stars fan invaded the Cape Coast Stadium pitch on Thursday, November 14 in Ghana’s 2-0 win over South Africa.
He claimed he did so because he wanted to take a picture with the Black Stars player, Thomas Partey.
Since Awal was released from police custody on bail, he has been able to meet Thomas Partey.
