Listen… today all of us are Team Shatta Wale and SM4Life fans.
Finally, Shatta Wale has done it and we’re super proud of him.
Today, the GRAMMYs released the nominees for the 2020 GRAMMYs and guess who is in there…
Thanks to his feature on Beyonce’s The Lion King: The Gift Album, Shatta Wale can now proudly claim that he’s a GRAMMY nominee.
That’s because Beyonce’s album was nominated for the Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media categories. The album got other nominations, however, it is these two that will give Shatta Wale a right to claim his GRAMMYs nomination.
Sharing his excitement for this amazing career milestone, Shatta Wale sent a tweet thanking his fans and the Beehive team.
“At long last, my name has entered #GRAMMYs, thanks to the Beehive team !!!! Patience is truly the key !!! Pah pah pah pah,” he tweeted.

Now that the nomination has been secured, we hope Beyonce wins the Gramophone to ensure that Shatta Wale gets one for himself.
With this nomination, he is not the only Ghanaian who stands to win a GRAMMY next year because of the lion king.
Kuulpeeps.com Emergers 2019 lister, Guilty Beatz has a nomination for producing some of the songs on the album including “Already” featuring Beyonce and Shatta Wale.
Another Ghanaian, Raye is also credited as the songwriter for “Bigger”, the first song on the album.
Congrats to all of you! Keep making Ghana proud!
