The start of the skeleton season is upon us and Ghana’s representative in the sport is also there.
This weekend, Akwasi Frimpong will be participating in the Intercontinental Cup, representing Ghana.
This would be Akwasi’s first competitive race for more than 4 months now though he has been training and preparing for the Skeleton season.

The 33-year-old Akwasi Frimpong is a sprinter, bobsledder, and skeleton athlete. Frimpong qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics in skeleton by obtaining a near-automatic invitation by virtue of continental representation, being the only athlete representing Ghana.
This was a history-making appearance for Ghana in this sport.
