For weeks now, we have been seeing posts from a Twitter account called Big Brother Ghana.
Lots of Ghanaians were excited at the thought of Big Brother starting in Ghana, especially after weeks of watching the Big Brother Naija housemates entertain us beyond our wildest expectations.
The same show? In Ghana? Yes, please!
People were sceptical about it but it looked like the account was here to stay

Today, DSTV Ghana took to social media to inform the public that the Big Brother Ghana account was fake since they had no idea about the show and had no plans to launch the show in Ghana.
The Big Brother reality Tv show is usually aired on Multichoice’s DSTV in every country as the original network for the Big Brother show, however, the Big Brother Ghana account has responded to DSTV Ghana’s notice claiming that the Big Brother Ghana has nothing to do with DSTV.
“And why is @DStv_Ghana going round telling the public about false news? The question is: Did @bigbrothergh have any discussions with your corporation? Did we by any chance talk to you about planning @bigbrothergh? The Big Brother Ghana has nothing to do with @DStv_Ghana“.

Now, this exchange has raised a lot of questions. Is the Big Brother Ghana show going to be anything like the Big Brother Naija show? Or it’s just something some people decided to do and named it ‘Big Brother’ because they think the name is just there for them to use?
