The month of October is used to celebrate and recognize the strength of the female heroes in our community who battled with breast cancer.
Yesterday, the Ashesi campus was painted in pink in solidarity with women who have fought and conquered this illness. The celebration was dubbed Pink Day. Representatives of the breast cancer unit at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital conducted a breast cancer screening at the Natembea Health Center. Also, the president of Pink for Africa, Juliette Mills-Lutterodt, was on campus to educate us on breast cancer.
Breast cancer survivor and advocate, Juliette Mills-Lutterodt, shared her breast cancer journey with students and staff. Her story was centred on love, strength and hope.
Below are some more pictures of how the Ashesi campus was flooded in the colour pink.
For every fight won, For every battle lost and for those still fighting remember to proudly wear PINK.
