Last month, the internet was in a frenzy over the news of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
Lots of countries, organizations and individuals condemned the country for the inhumane act. Burna Boy, a globally recognized Nigerian artiste added his voice to it.
He heavily condemned Xenophobia and tweeted at length about it. He added that he had no intention of stepping into the country until the South African president ‘wakes up’ and ‘performs a miracle’.
He also called out South African rapper, Aka who had passed some comments about the xenophobic attacks in response to another artiste, Ycee’s accusation that he, Aka harboured some dislike towards Nigerians.
In the midst of the heated exchange, Burna Boy threatened Aka that the next time he sees the SA rapper, he hopes he has big security because he would need it.
Looks like he may need it soon.
Yesterday, South African news portal, iOL reported that Burna Boy will be headlining an Africa Unite concert in South Africa.
Aka took to Twitter to poke Burna Boy and remind him of his threat weeks ago.
Burna Boy is yet to respond but the two have music together and were quite good friends until the xenophobia conversation in September.
