We loved Matt Damon when he played Jason Bourne in the Bourne movies.

If you a fan of the Bourne movies then this new series is made for you.

Treadstone is an American action drama television series, connected to and based on the Bourne film series.

This series explores “the origin story and present-day actions of a fictional CIA black ops program known as Operation Treadstone—a covert program that uses behaviour-modification protocol to turn recruits into nearly superhuman assassins.

It follows sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously ‘awakened’ to resume their deadly missions”.

Though the principal recording of the series was done in Budapest, several scenes were shot from locations around the world.

Ghana is one of the locations where this a fictional CIA black ops program found itself to record some of its scenes.

While they were in Ghana, the production team recruited one of the best set designers we have in the country to act as their Art Director.

Tony Prince Tomety, who is an amazing Production designer is the local guy the production team fell on to give them the creative direction would need to effectively capture their Ghana scenes.

Tony, who is also a Will Smith lookalike took to Instagram to share how grateful he was that he got the opportunity to work with the team.

“Grateful to have Art Directed the African Scenes filmed in Ghana for the #Treadstone series.🙏🏽,” Tony said.

Judging by the hashtags that Tony used in his appreciation Instagram post, we want to believe that the Ghana scenes were shot in Elmina in the Central Region.

If you’re a Jason Bourne fan and you love the “Ghana to the world agenda”, then you have two reasons why you should start watching Treadstone.

Treadstone is available to an international audience on Amazon Prime Video on January 10, 2020
