Netflix has shared a new full-length trailer for its forthcoming historical epic The King starring Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson.

The Netflix Original film centres on the rise of King Henry V, portrayed by 23-year-old Academy Award-nominated Chalamet in the titular role. The young Prince Hal is tasked with taking over the English throne after his father (Ben Mendelsohn) passes away. Shortly after assuming his reign, however, the fledgeling ruler must balance political conflicts and the inherited war his father left behind, while also struggling to overcome emotional ties connecting him to a conflicted past.

In the tense trailer posted below, viewers also get a better look Pattinson’s role as the French prince, which was only teased before, along with his French accent and long blonde hair. The clip continues to spotlight the epic showdown between King Henry and the Dauphin of France as they go to war with each other. “The screams of your men shall lull me to sleep at night,” Pattinson can be heard saying.

The King also stars Ben Mendelsohn as King Henry IV, Sean Harris as William Gascoigne, Lily-Rose Depp as Catherine, and Joel Edgerton, who also co-wrote the project based on William Shakespeare’s Henriad plays.

Directed by David Michôd, The King premieres November 1 on Netflix.
