The Electoral Commission of Ghana has assigned colours to the 2019 referendum which seeks approve the Bill to amend clause 3 of article 55 of the 1992 constitution to enable political parties to sponsor candidates for election to District Assemblies or Lower Government Units.
The referendum will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
The official colours assigned for the referendum are YELLOW for YES and DARK BROWN for NO.
This, however, means those who intend to vote in favour of the Bill to amend clause 3 of article 55, are required to thumbprint in the box beside the colour YELLOW whilst those who are not in favour are required to thumbprint in the box beside the colour DARK BROWN.
