Turns out we have been singing it wrong.

King Ayisoba’s song, “My Father” became a hit song in the early 2000s and the chorus, “I want to see you my father” is exactly what everyone sang every single time.

King Ayisoba has performed the song several times with everyone singing that line with him but today, on Neat FM’s Yeko Fie, King Ayisoba says Ghanaians have been singing the song wrongly.

On the show, he said the right phrase is, “I want to SUE you, my father” and not “I want to see you, my father”

Apparently, the line is in sync with the story of the song. He explained that “My Father” is a song about Fathers who do not take care of their kids but spend their time and money on other women, hence “I want to SUE you, my father”

This is a shocking revelation because…all these years!!!!
