Lil Nas X And Cardi B Have Been Sued For Copyright Infringement

Lil Nas X and Cardi B are being sued over “Rodeo,” their collaboration from Lil Nas X’s debut EP 7. Per a new Pitchfork report, Atlanta producers Glen Keith DeMeritt III and Don Lee allege that “Rodeo” bears significant similarity to “Broad Day” by PuertoReefa and Sakrite Duexe, which featured elements of a beat titled “gwenXdonlee4-142” created by the two men.

DeMeritt and Lee allege that Lil Nas and his collaborators — David Biral, Denzel Baptiste, Roy Lenzo, Russ Chell and Cardi B — “did not receive permission” to interpolate or copy the song.

You can compare the songs to verify if the lawsuit is needed.
