All You Need To Know About Acne; Dos And Don’ts

It might look like advanced math to you, but acne is something that almost every adolescent has experienced. Except for our genetically blessed brothers and sisters who were born with silky smooth skin, no offence, but we the normal people hate you just a bit.

But for those who, just like us have a little problem with acne, this is how you can treat those pesky things that will not allow you to talk about your skin glowing in peace!

Don’t pop them!

If you do that, you’d make matters worse. Relax for them and they’d relax for you. Simple!

Don’t over-cleanse your face

Yes, over-cleansing is a thing. Keep baby wipes handy and try to get the most out of your cleanser but please don’t overdo it!!

The trick to using cleansers is to put a healthy amount on your dry hands and then unto your dry face. Activate the cleanser by wetting your palms and using those wet palms to lather the cleanser up on your face. Leave that on for a few minutes before washing it off. You’d find that your skin feels cleaner than before.

Stop using normal body soap for your face.

Your skin might react to the strong formula of the bathing soap so find a good cleanser at a pharmacy or a supermarket, whatever your preference and try using that.

Watch what you feed your skin.

Avoid oily foods and ridiculously sugary drinks. They all add up to your acne problem

Use apple cider vinegar to treat your acne.

What it does is, it kills the acne bacteria and suppresses inflammation. Mix the vinegar with water and preferably spray it onto your face. Putting it on a cotton pad before applying this sort of puts you at risk of more bacteria crawling unto your skin. Spraying gives you direct contact without the fear of spreading it.

Exfoliate regularly.

Mix salt or sugar with coconut oil to make a paste and scrub away. Use this once a day for as long as you’d like, but don’t over-exfoliate. Twice a week should be fine.

Stop stressing.

No, seriously, just stop stressing yourself. You’d get really nasty stress pimples oh. Yoooo. Don’t say we didn’t say some.

Long story short, not everything would work for everyone. We all have different skin types but taking care of yourself is the most important thing. Keep yourself healthy and the pimples will run away.
