The “triple crown” winner (an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony award) keeps proving to us that with hard work and perseverance, you’re going to make it and get all the recognition you deserve every bit of.
At 54 years, it’s her first time landing a beauty contract. She was announced as the newest international spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris, a brand that’s told women “Because You’re Worth It” since 1973.
She announced it on Instagram writing: “The self-affirming words of, ‘Because I’m worth it’ have always given me chill bumps. What a joy it will be to not just say them over and over again…but to spread the message of worth to women around the world. It is a gift.”

The self affirming words of, “Because I’m worth it” have always given me chill bumps. What a joy it will be to not just say them over and over again…but to spread the message of worth to women around the world. It is a gift.❤️ #worthit #unstoppable #lorealparisfamily @lorealmakeup @lorealskin
“I believe that the greatest privilege is to be who you are,” she said at an intimate press event. “No apologies for your age, your colour, anything. As long as you’re you and living up to who that is and what that means, you’re worth it. That’s self-worth.”
She has joined a roster of high-profile women – Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren and Celine Dion – all of whom are above the age of 50 and, wonderfully, surpass traditional expectations of what a beauty ambassador should look like.
We can’t help but feel proud that L’Oréal is helping women of all ages, creeds and colours feel, like Viola, that they too are worth it.
