UG: Take A Look At Transportation Arrangements Made By The SRC

The Students’ Representative Council would like to bring to the attention of all students some resolutions that were reached after the leadership of the SRC held a meeting with the Legon Taxi Union during this week.

The SRC working in the best interest of all students believes that the following resolutions will help ease the burden of students on campus.

Details of the resolutions are;

1. No student will be charged any fare in health emergency situations.

Students who in health emergency situations are to be taken to the hospital for medical care would not be required to pay any transportation fare when on board of any of the taxis from the taxi union on campus.

2. Boarding taxis on campus is free for Students with Special Needs.

Per the decisions that were reached, students with special needs will not be charged transportation fare at any point in time when they board any of the taxis from the taxi Union on campus so far as their destinations fall within the boundaries of the University campus.

These decisions are needful and important to make life on campus convenient for students.

The SRC believes that this arrangement will find students in good spirit as leadership work earnestly for the common good of all students of the University.
