The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) of the University of Ghana has begun accepting applications from students, especially those in their first year, for scholarship awards for the 2019/2020 academic year.

These scholarships are mainly for undergraduate students from areas of need.

Generally, students who obtained aggregate 16 or better in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are eligible to apply.

Applicants are also to demonstrate limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover most educational related expenses.

The SFAO has encouraged students reading any of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programmes to apply.

The scholarships available are the EPI Level 100 Scholarship, Larry Addo Scholarship, EY-CSR Scholarship, Fondazione Scholarship and the UG Scholarship.

Interested students are to submit a completed SFAO form, together with required essays, a copy of their academic records (WASSCE results) and letters of recommendation to the office by the deadline.

Deadlines

Those interested in the EPI, Larry Addo Scholarships have until September 12, and 27 respectively to complete their application form.

Deadlines for applying for the EY-CSR and Fondazione Edu Scholarships are 2nd and 17th October respectively.

For the UG Scholarship, the deadline for application is November 14, 2019.

The Student Financial Aid Office is at JQB, close to the Radio Universe office.
