The GES Has Rejected Claims That It Is Introducing LGBT Issues In Primary Schools

The Ghana Education Service has rejected claims that it is deliberately exposing Ghanaian schoolchildren to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues.

This belief has generated huge attention among the Ghanaian public who are predominantly against any attempts to legalize LGBT in the country.

Media conversations have been heated on this issue and the GES has come under attack.

As a result, the Head of Public Affairs at GES Cassandra Twum Ampofo released a statement responding to some of the issues raised in the media.

According to the GES the “new Standard Based Curriculum being implemented has nothing to do with LGBT issues, masturbation or explicit display/labelling of intimate body parts.”
